Observational Services in Arlington, TX
Comprehensive 23-Hour Patient Observation
Fortunately for our residents in Arlington and neighboring communities, our emergency center is approved by the state of Texas to observe our patients in observational units for up to 23 hours given that the procedure or treatment cannot be performed or require additional monitoring past a 3-hour turnaround period.
Insurances generally pay for this service and often prefer for patients to receive observational care for conditions such as chest pain, exacerbating asthmatic symptoms, and congestive heart failure. Even after reaching our limit of stay for our care treatment, our compassionate staff is committed to following up with your health and situation status even after being discharged from our center.

Key Conditions Monitored in Our Arlington Observation Unit
Certified to provide up to 23 hours of extra observation care and monitoring, our emergency room care center is formally versed and equipped with efficient and trustworthy technology, clinically approved methodologies, and healthcare guidelines necessary for your rehabilitation. We streamline the process for a quicker diagnosis and treatment.
Some of the observable conditions and diagnoses we monitor include:
Chest Pains – majority of cases monitored with observational units include the evaluation of chest pain. The main focus of admitting patients with chest discomfort is to evaluate for any serious chances of incidental cardiovascular morbidity or mortality.
We may perform the following assessments to ensure your risk of chest pain is managed by:
- Evaluating and recording blood pressure
- Stabilizing heart rate
- Measuring oxygen levels
- Determining signs of heart failure or abnormalities
- Asthma Symptoms – The monitoring of asthmatic symptoms can help save lives and relieve breathing issues present among our patients dealing with asthma. Patients who fail to react or improve to asthmatic therapy from breathing difficulties after continuous care are then discharged to ensure more advanced medications and treatments may be administered.
- Strokes and Fainting – We evaluate the cause and source of ischemic strokes as well as fainting. Using beat-to-beat heart rate monitoring along with blood pressure assessments, carotid Doppler ultrasounds, and other neurological testing, our staff is committed to pinpointing your cause of problem.
Our urgent care providers also assess and determine signs of atrial fibrillation, gastroenteritis followed with dehydration, gastrointestinal hemorrhage, and infectious pneumonia.
